• Okehampton Castle – A historic castle with scenic woodland and riverside picnic areas perfect for a wander if you want an easy, dog-friendly outing. The Castle itself is currently closed to visitors however you can still park there and see the Castle from there! Well worth doing to see the largest Medieval Castle built in Devon!
• Meldon Reservoir & Dartmoor National Park  Beautiful walks across moorland, lakes and valleys. Great for hikers (and pooches!) if you enjoy nature and open spaces.
• Stone Lane Sculpture Gardens (near Chagford)  Lovely woodland gardens with sculpture art and peaceful walking paths; dogs allowed on leads. A relaxing half-day trip.
• Local woods and small forests around the region ideal for dog-walking in a calm, rural setting.

Woolacombe

• Saunton Sands Beach  a wide, sandy beach with dunes dogs are welcome and there’s plenty of space for them to run and play.
• Putsborough Sands and Hele Bay  Other lovely coastal spots in North Devon that welcome dogs, offering variety if you want to explore different beaches.
